Friday Night Superleague has been a staple of Basketballpaisley for over 25 years giving children a competitive environment where they can put their skills to the test in weekly games against players from Renfrew and the surrounding areas. Friday night Superleague allows friends and families to sit and watch the competition, with music playing in the background and a tuck shop available, its a great night for the whole family.
Unfortunately, like most things, Covid has had a big impact on our ability to have these Friday night Superleague sessions for over 2 years now. Thankfully, we have finally returned last week with over 40 kids enjoying 2 hours worth of games, music and competition, all while being cheered on by their team-mates friends and families. The Lagoon was once again the home of all the basketball action in Paisley as children from as young as 4 participated in a great night of games.
Friday Night Superleague has been a permanent fixture in the landscape of Basketballpaisley and hundreds of club and international players have taken to the court on a Friday night through the years to take part and we are so excited that we can now offer it to our latest group of future stars. A special thanks must be made to all the volunteers who gave up their time to help make the night a success and who will continue to be there on Friday nights to ensure all players have a safe, friendly and exciting environment for them to perform in front of their families.
Volunteers included; Eden Duff, Freya Schoffield, Ewan Mcgivern, Emma and Laura Collinge, Lynn Van Den Broek, Sean Kodra, Emily Wilson, Aisosa Devine and Mirren Bowater. Also a special thanks to the whole staff at the Lagoon Leisure Centre and also Chris and Rebecca Cleary for all of their time and effort.
We are back again this Friday with another night of games and you can book your place here - https://basketballpaisley.class4kids.co.uk/camps
